Nothing is written…

Welcome to TransArabia ®  When:  November 23-29th, 2014

An epic foot race to cross Jordan from The Dead Sea to the Red Sea via Wadi Rum and Petra.

Now part of The Desert Challenge ® – 2 races in 2 countries that will ultimately lead to one incredible final race. These first 2 races will offer a choice of 100k/200k/300k non-stop distances. We have a cap of 80 participants at each race and no more than 10 participants  per nation. The organizers have 10 years experience with creating and staging desert races. TransOmania and TransArabia. Race across the Arabian Desert, starting at a coastline and finishing at another coastline with the sea awaiting your arrival.

We  invite you to participate in these 2 distinct and remarkable non-stop desert races.

Now taking registrations for both races!

TransOmania in Oman crosses the Wahiba Sands in January 2014

TransArabia in Jordan crosses the World Heritage sites of Wadi Rum and Petra from the Dead Sea to the Red Sea in November 2014.

Choose either one or come do both of them to prepare yourself for The Desert Challenge. Details coming soon regarding this final race in 2015.

Both races are UTMB qualifiers and each race can earn you up to 4 points toward the required 7 points.

The beauty of this format is that you can race at your own pace and through the night but there will still be the opportunities to spend time in the company of other runners at camps throughout.

Relay options for the 300k and 200k are also in place

  • 300 km (teams of 3-6) in max 100 hours (start at Dead Sea Camp)
  • 200 km (teams of 2-4) in max 75 hours (start at Petra)

In addition to ranking received at each race participants will also be ranked based on their best times in any 2 out of 3 races in 2014/2015
